Currency Exchange International is looking for a skilled and motivated Junior Security Administrator to join our Information Security Team!
The Security Administrator plays a key role in protecting our organization's information assets by assisting with the administration of security technologies and contributing to security compliance and risk management efforts. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of security tools and work alongside experienced security professionals. The ideal candidate is a motivated and quick learner with a strong foundation in IT security principles, some experience with enterprise security tools, and a desire to grow their skills in security engineering. This individual will be proactive in learning the intricacies of our security tools and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the day-to-day administration and maintenance of enterprise security tools and technologies, including, but not limited to:
- Firewalls (e.g., configuring rules, managing updates);
- Endpoint Security Solutions and Configurations (e.g., monitoring agent deployment, managing policies);
- Vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., running scans, analyzing and communicating results);
- Identity management solutions (e.g., conditional access policies, MFA).
- Proactively learn the in-depth functionality of security tools to recommend configuration and performance optimizations.
- Participate in incident response activities.
- Troubleshoot security issues and work with end users and vendors to resolve problems.
- Stay up to date with emerging threats and relevant industry intelligence.
- Assist with security and GRC improvement projects.
- Research and evaluate new security technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by collecting evidence and implementing necessary security controls.
- Help remediate findings from security assessments and audits.
- Participate in security risk assessments and tabletop exercises to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
- Review and update security policies and procedures.

Required Education/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in information security, Information Technology, or similar field.
- 3+ years experience in Information Security or Information Technology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in decision-making, considering relevant factors and implications to drive positive outcomes.
- Upholds a focus on identifying vulnerabilities and developing proactive solutions to minimize risk exposure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional and less frequent evening hours and weekend work may be necessary.
